Collaborate and Celebrate

Our work at Families Matter would not be possible without the support of our community partners. Your continued support has assisted us in fulfilling our mission of strengthening families, changing lives, and transforming Memphis. Because of our partnership, Families Matter can serve families through education and advocacy throughout the Memphis and Shelby County areas.

Our annual dinner - “Collaborate and Celebrate” - held April 28, 2022, at Second Presbyterian Church is centered on our intentional effort to “Train up a child in the way he should go. Proverbs 22:6.” The educational and emotional intervention we provide is about caring for, protecting, and loving children. Our annual dinner brings us together to celebrate our accomplishments. Families Matter impacts the hearts of young people and affects real and lasting transformation by teaching young boys the 12 Principles of Manhood, showing young fathers the importance of showing affection to and providing support for their children, and helping teenagers understand what healthy relationships look like. In addition, Families Matter assists young people in understanding the importance of getting an education and gainful employment before becoming parents.
