Collaborate and Celebrate 2026

A few years ago, a young 9th-grade student sat quietly in a classroom as one of our "Connections" facilitators spoke. Like many students, she had dreams, but no clear path to reach them. In fact, she was heading in a direction that did not reflect the future she truly deserved.

But as the facilitator continued to go back to the school and share with the students week after week, something changed, sparking a shift in her behavior.

As the facilitator shared, she began to open up. He noticed her hesitation, uncertainty, and potential. Instead of letting her fade into the background, he asked her thoughtful questions and challenged her to think about what she really wanted in life. More importantly, he gave her something she hadn’t fully felt before – HOPE! Those moments did not end when the class bell rang. It stayed with her.

Recently, that same facilitator received a letter from her. In it, she thanked him not just for speaking into her life but for truly seeing her, for taking the time to care, and for helping guide her onto a better path.

Today, her story is one of transformation and determination. She graduated from high school. She went to college. And now, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health with a minor in biology. Today, she is actively working in her field, making a difference in the lives of others.

This is the impact of "Connections". This is the impact of what we do. We talk to many students who have experienced our programs in elementary, middle, or high school, and we hear very similar stories.
